FUTURE
As a Christian
Responding to God's will
And following his plans
You need not fear
A future unknown.
There is no need to worry
What your future may hold
For there is no place
In your own future
Where God has not
Already been!

THE SOURCE

A wick separated from its candle
Quickly ceases to burn;
A bulb removed from its lam'
Gives no light to any room;
Even the brighttest sunshine
Ends as the earth rotates--
No form of light can exist
Once separated from its source.
As it is with each of these,
We, too, will cease to shine
If we separate ourselves
From the Light who is our Source.

NOT EQUAL

The religion of Easter
Does not equal
Nor equate to
Christian faith.

Ritualistic adherence
To the traditions of Easter
have no real bearing
On the worshipful attitude
Of commitment to the Resurrected One.

ONE DEATH

When Lazarus came back to life,
Resurrected by Jesus,
He alone had life returned
And his death was repeated.

But when Jesus came back
As the Resurrected One
Death gave no repeat performance
And eternal life was extended
To all the world.

TO FIND HAPPINESS

The world will tell us
There are many roads
That lead to happiness.
But happiness through the workd
Has no permanence.
We find it today
And lose it tomorrow.
True happiness
And fulfilling joy
Are found only in
Relationship with a living God.
