UNMERITED LOVE

Unmerited love
Took Christ to the Cross;
Unmerited love
Kept him there 'til death;
Unmerited love
Rose again that day.
Unmerited love
Gives me peace
In a stormy life;
Unmerited love
Gives me life
That will never end;
Unmerited love
Is mine each day
As I walk with God.

IRONY

Did you ever think about
The irony of:
The Carpenter who got nailed
To a piece of wood,
Or the Sinless One
Who suffered a sinners death
That all might live?
Did you ever think about
How this applies to you?
For that Carpenter was nailed
To that piece of wood
And died that sinner's death
So that you might live.

PACKAGES

Everyday God gives me gifts:
Brightly wrapped packages
Of his abiding love.
First he gives me a new day
In which to share and spread his love.
Following this I see so much--
Evidences of his presence:
The sun that brightens my day,
Rain that cleanses the earth,
The bird in the air,
The song that I hear,
A baby's sweet cry,
Laughter of a friend.
The list is limitless
For every breath I take,
Every beat of my heart
Is proof of his unending love.

MOST VALUABLE

Love never measures
What's right just for me;
Love only treasures
The best that you can be.
True love will transcend
Each wrong you might do.
Complete love must bend
Beyond mistakes by you.
Love is a pleasure
Each day that we give it;
A boundless treasure,
Fear not to give it.
